One author characterizes Millennials as a Jekyll-and-Hyde generation, with many facing a quarterlife crisis. Authors Seemiller and Grace of Generation Z Goes to College (2016) contend that higher education is now hosting post-Millennials (aka Plurals), who have come of age immersed in social media, but who have significant insecurity. This session will share some preliminary facts, figures, and fallacies to set up a discussion of what is understood about the X, Y, and Z-generation college student.
