Ethan Hammer caught him a bear…and a mountain lion, and a badger. Camera caught, that is. Monitoring mammal populations is just one of the cool jobs the Utah State University intern performs at Cedar Breaks National Monument, a career opportunity made possible through the generosity of USU alumna Sheila Miller.
Sheila’s endowed internship in the Quinney College of Natural Resources gives talented USU students priceless field experience and research opportunities in the National Park Service. Sheila created the endowment to honor her husband, Joe, whose 40-year NPS career mentored an entire generation of division chiefs, area leaders, and park superintendents.
Thanks, Sheila, for continuing Joe’s legacy and showing us what giving to USU is all about!
